INFORMATION ABOUT POKUT PLATEAU
Pokut Plateau is located in the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize province. It is used by the residents of Ortan village, Makrevis village, and Konaklar neighborhood. From Pokut Plateau, you can view both Amlakit and Hazindağ plateaus as well as the magnificent scenery of Sal Plateau. It is situated at an altitude of 2,030 meters. The discovery of Pokut Plateau dates back to around the 1750s. Despite the absence of tree growth above 1,800 meters, trees on Pokut Plateau reach all the way to the peaks.
As the plateaus are allocated to specific villages, people from other villages are not allowed to engage in pastoral activities there.
Pokut Plateau is a paradise-like place, nestled between mountains covered with pine trees, where you can see every shade of green and hear only the sounds of birds, dogs, and cows, far from the crowds.

Pokut Plateau is located within the borders of Çamlıhemşin district in Rize province, at an altitude of 2,030 meters. The road to the plateau branches off from Şenyuva Village. It is 21 km away from Çamlıhemşin, and due to the stony and rugged roads, the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
